This information is based upon a departure from the Netherlands.

1. The bus

If you like to take things slow, to travel more sustainable and enjoy some sightseeing  along the way, the bus is a fair option. Buses depart from Amsterdam and take you all the way to Portimao. The journey takes about 35 hours and costs €175 for a one-way ticket and €310 for a return ticket.

2. Train

If the train is your way to roll, look for an inter-rail ticket up to Faro or Lagos. For information on inter-railing check: http://nl.interrail.eu/

From there you will have to transfer to the bus to Portimao and at Portimao get on the bus to Monchique. Pick-ups from Monchique to our farm can be arranged in advanced, please contact us about this.

3. Hitchhiking

Thumbs up and smiles all the way. Get rides from strangers and new friends, reduce your ecological footprint by sharing a car and save your dimes for donations to the farm ;). Hitchhiking is one of our favorite means of traveling, and it’s good fun!

You gain good company, shared costs, unlimited access to road-games, and sharing a car is also caring about the environment. Join our facebook page and post if you offer a ride or looking for one!

6. Biking

It’s not just about the destination; it is also about the journey. For a truly beautiful, sustainable, memorable and exciting trip; take the bike! Experience the nature, the people, the smells and the sights. Take your time to cross the 2.400 kilometers, enjoy the ride.

7. Flying

Flying is the easiest and quickest option. However, as we are working to improve the environment this does mean you are obliged to buy and plant a tree on arrival 🙂

Leaving from the Netherlands you can depart from either Eindhoven airport, Rotterdam airport or Schiphol airport and your destination will be Faro in Portugal. The flight duration for a direct flight is about 3 hours.

Generally RyanAir offers the cheapest flights, departing from Eindhoven Airport. Prices start at €40 one-way and €80 return.
